Server Message

Dear All

We have had a problem with the footprint4.co.uk server since approx 11pm last night (21st December).  This has resulted in some web sites home pages being disabled.

We have had our staff and technical support all working on the issue throughout the night and web services are returning to normal now.

Email services are and have been unaffected.

If you have been affected then we are sorry for any interruption this has caused.

Rest assured these sites are all being put back to their original state now.

Ironically this is unrelated to the planned upgrade which is still scheduled for next week.

Kind Regards

Ant Parker

Dear hosting client

We have a planned web server upgrade for all clients on footprint4.co.uk server that is taking place on the evening
and overnight of the 28th December 2010.

This should start at around 7pm and may last up to 12 hours.

We have scheduled this day so as to keep any disruption to a minimum.
The new server is one of the best on the market and has a specification
that includes 8 x CPU’s, 4 x Hard Drives and 12 Gb or Ram.

You won’t need to make any adjustments to your email settings or web site settings and once the upgrade has been performed you will only notice an increase in speed and performance.

There are no additional fees or increase in costs to you either.

All the best for Christmas and a prosperous New Year
