  1. Go toย http://twitter.comย and find the sign up box, or go directly toย https://twitter.com/signup.
  2. Enter yourย full name,ย phone numberย orย email address,ย date of birth, and aย password.
  3. Clickย Sign up for Twitter.
  4. In order to verify your phone number, we will send you an SMS text message with a code. You may also request a voice call to verify your phone number. Enter the verification code in the box provided. Learn more about having aย phone number associated with your account.
  5. Once you’ve clickedย Sign up for Twitter,ย you can select aย usernameย (usernames are unique identifiers on Twitter) โ€” type your own or choose one we’ve suggested. We’ll tell you if the username you want is available.
  6. Double-checkย your name, phone number, password, and username.
  7. Clickย Create my account. You may be asked to complete a Captcha to let us know that you’re human.

Important Information

  • An email address can only be associated with one Twitter account at a time.
  • The email address you use on your Twitter account is not publicly visible to others on Twitter.

To sign up for an account

  1. Download the Twitter for iOS app, if you haven’t already installed it.
