How To Create a Personal YouTube Channel
The instructions below will allow you to create a new YouTube channel that can be managed via your Google Account.
- Sign in to YouTube on a computer or using the mobile site.
- Try any action that requires a channel, such asΒ uploading a video, posting a comment or creatingΒ a playlist.
- If you donβt yet have a channel, youβll see a prompt to create a channel.
- Check the details (with yourΒ Google Account name and photo) and confirm to create your new channel.

How To Create a Channel With A Business or Alternative Name
You can connect your channel to a Brand Account if you want to use a different name on YouTube than your Google Account.
- Sign in to YouTube on a computer orΒ the mobile site.
- Go toΒ your channel list.
- Choose to create a new channel or use an existing Brand Account:
- Create aΒ channel by clickingΒ Create a new channel.
- Create a YouTube channel for a Brand Account that you already manage by choosing the Brand Account from the list. If this Brand Account already has a channel, you can’t create a new one. When you select the Brand Account from the list, you’ll be switched over to that channel.

If you want to use a name or photo on YouTube thatβs different fromΒ what you have for your Google Account, connect your channel to a Brand Account. You can do this to support your business or brand identity on YouTube without showing a connection with your personal Google Account.
- Your Google Account is an owner/manager of the Brand Account connected with the YouTube channel. This lets you access the YouTube channel from your Google Account.
- Thereβs no public association between your Google Account and the Brand Account, so viewers wonβt see your name or email address (unless you publicly link them yourself).
- You can manage multiple channels from one Google Account. This helps if you have more than one YouTube channel.
- You can add otherΒ managers and owners to your Brand Account. You and any teammates or collaborators can manage the channel without having to share passwords.

How To Give Admin Access To Your Google My Business Account
In a very similar fashion to Google Analytics properties, owners of Business Profiles can invite additional users to become owners and managers. Each person can have their own access without sharing sign-in information. Owners and managers have different levels of access to the profile.
- Only owners can add or remove users.
- Managers can remove themselves from a profile.
- Google Groups canβt be added as managers or owners.
- Only the primary owner canΒ transfer primary ownership.

Add owners & managers
- On your Android phone or tablet, open theΒ Google My Business app.
- If you have multiple locations, open the location that you’d like to manage.
- Tap MenuΒ

Β Manage users.
- In the top right, tap Add userΒ

- Enter the name or email address of the user that you’d like to add.
Note:Β To add an agency to your location, you need to add the agency’s location group ID here. (You may need to contact the agency and ask for this ID.) - To select the userβs role, chooseΒ

- Confirm the email address, then tapΒ Send.

When an invitation is accepted, the owners of the profile are notified by email. All users in the account can view the names and email addresses of the owners and managers of the profile.
